About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant specializing in Gastrointestinal to join their team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center, and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Both facilities are recognized leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. Requirements

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• NRP and PALS certifications

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a unit that performs over 4,000 procedures annually.
• Perform and document complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order tests and review results.
• Make referrals as necessary.
• Document findings in the electronic medical record.
• Consult with supervising medical provider when appropriate.
• Counsel patients and families regarding care.
