About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Gastrointestinal to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. Jacobi and NCB are respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Requirements

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA
• NRP and PALS

Responsibilities

• Perform and document complete histories and physical examinations
• Ordering of tests, and reviewing results
• Making referrals as necessary
• Documenting findings in the electronic medical record
• Consulting with supervising medical provider when appropriate
• Counseling patients and families regarding care
