Serves as a provider of clinical services within the scope and practice guidelines of the State Physician Assistant Practice Act. This position is ECB status, requiring a minimum number of worked hours per month as needed by the department, with limited benefit offerings. The role involves performing clinical services including assessment, intervention, and evaluation of care. It also includes consulting and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers, documenting services, performing procedures, recommending treatments, promoting patient wellness through education, and utilizing advanced clinical knowledge to meet patient needs. The position also involves participating in quality initiatives, safety functions, identifying and ordering supplies, and staying informed about relevant policies and procedures. The Physician Assistant is expected to maintain exemplary patient satisfaction and participate as an engaged team member. This role requires independent judgment in decision-making, with general review in final stages only. Physician Assistants are Allied Health Professionals whose privileges are supervised by a physician.
