About The Position

This is a gynecology-focused practice within an established outpatient OB/GYN specialty clinic, primarily concentrating on women's health and gynecologic care. The role offers a long-term first assist opportunity in the OR approximately 1-2 days per month, suitable for PAs wishing to maintain surgical skills. The position allows for autonomous practice with monthly quality assurance reviews by a supervising physician. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional early OR start times, and no call or weekend duties. Responsibilities include new and established patient visits, follow-up and global post-operative visits, in-basket management, and office procedures such as Pap smears, IUD insertions, and Nexplanon procedures. The patient volume is manageable, averaging 15 patients per day, supported by dedicated 1:1 CMA support, a shared Patient Service Specialist (PSS), and additional clinic staff. The setting is outpatient with an Epic workflow, and no inpatient rounding or hospital call is required. Comprehensive onboarding includes structured orientation with physician and peer shadowing. Multi-facility privileges across the Greater Austin Region offer future flexibility within the health system.
