Per Diem Physician Assistant - General Surgery - Ambulatory Surgery Center - The One – White Plains, NY
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian is establishing a new, multi-disciplinary, state-of-the-art ambulatory care facility called The One, located at 1111 Westchester Avenue in White Plains. This 380,000 square foot facility, opening in September 2025, will offer a wide range of adult and pediatric specialty care services. It features a state-of-the-art Ambulatory Surgery Center with multiple operating and procedural rooms. The Surgical PA service will be integral to providing high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple specialties, practicing at the top of their license in the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases. The PA will support surgical cases in a first or second assist capacity for various surgical specialties including General Surgery, Urology, ENT, Ophthalmology, OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Pulmonary, Gastroenterology, and Pediatrics.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of surgical experience in 1st or 2nd assist capacity
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies
- NYS PA licensure
- NCCPA certification
- DEA Certification
- BLS/ACLS/PALS certification
- Must be able to commit to one shift per week.
- All roles require on-site presence.
- Employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
