About The Position
The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse provides perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. The OR RN collaborates with the care team to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care while maintaining compliance with established clinical, regulatory, and patient safety standards.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Perioperative or Operating Room nursing experience preferred.
- ACLS and/or PALS certification.
- Ambulatory surgery and/or scrub experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
- Prepare and maintain a safe, sterile surgical environment.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes in condition appropriately.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with policies and professional standards.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
