About The Position

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Physician Assistant - Emergency Medicine to join the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned healthcare campus featuring the new Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital, which offers emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The Health & Wellness Institute provides outpatient services for children and adults. The hospital has strong academic affiliations with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine. The mission of NYC Health + Hospitals is to provide comprehensive health services of the highest quality to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity, and respect, regardless of immigration status or ability to pay. This role is responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients in the Emergency Department, developing treatment plans under the supervision of an Attending Physician. The position involves three 12-hour clinical shifts per week in various areas of the Department, including the Main ED and Fast Track.

Requirements

• Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant
• Current certification issued by the NCCPA

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Complete an appropriate assessment and develop a treatment plan under the supervision of the Attending Physician.
