About The Position
An established and well-respected multi-specialty medical practice in Ocala, Florida, providing comprehensive outpatient healthcare services to the local community, is seeking a Physician Assistant to join its Dermatology team. This is an outpatient Dermatology opportunity focused on the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of patients with a variety of dermatological conditions. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English and have strong clinical and communication skills.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- Active Florida Physician Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Dermatology experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients presenting with a variety of dermatological conditions.
- Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
- Diagnose and manage common dermatological conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prescribe medications and adjust treatment plans as appropriate.
- Perform or assist with dermatology procedures based on training and scope of practice.
- Provide patient education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and preventive care.
- Provide ongoing follow-up and monitor patient response to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care.
