About The Position

A well-established medical practice in Ocala, Florida is seeking a motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join its primary care team. This is a full-time, permanent position in an established outpatient Family Medicine setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• NCCPA certification.
• Active Florida PA license or eligibility for licensure.
• DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and staff.

Nice To Haves

• Family Medicine, Primary Care, or outpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage patients with acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose and treat common primary care conditions.
• Prescribe medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
• Provide preventive care, health screenings, and patient education.
• Monitor patients with chronic medical conditions and coordinate follow-up care.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the clinical team.
