About The Position

Physician Assistants (PAs) are academically and clinically educated medical generalists who practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician. Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Requirements

  • Successful completion of a recognized accredited PA educational program or Completion of an accredited PA degree program recognized by PACCC
  • Certified with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants
  • Membership and Licensure in good standing with the CPSS as a Physician Assistant
  • Canadian Certified Physician Assistant (CCPA) through PACCC; or Physician Assistant - Certified (PA-C) through the NCCPA.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Eligible for registration with CPSS (for applicants outside of Saskatchewan).
  • Demonstrated written and spoken competence in English language
  • Ability to treat patients with compassion and empathy

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience working as a PA in a related clinical field, is an asset
  • Current ATLS Certification (Advanced Trauma Life Support), is an asset
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support certificate (ACLS) an asset
  • Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (PALS) an asset

Responsibilities
