About The Position

The Dietitian-Degree provides patient care by attending to the nutritional needs of inpatients and ambulatory patients through regular and therapeutic diets. This employee acts as a consultant for medical staff regarding nutritional matters. This employee also provides assistance to the Food Service Managers as well as the employees in the Food and Nutrition Services department regarding clinical client related concerns.

Requirements

Dietetic Internship certificate
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Computer skills
Excellent assessment, diagnostic and intervention skills
Ability to communicate with and deal effectively with clients and their families
Demonstrated ability to communicate both one-on-one and in groups
Ability to be proactive and creative in decision making
Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to communicate with, and deal effectively with co-workers
Ability to provide group education and support in area of nutrition and diet
Demonstrate sound judgment in assessing and analyzing nutritional care plans
Ability to implement nutritional care plans
Demonstrated knowledge in educational resource development.
Ability to prioritize work
Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians
