About The Position

This role involves providing classroom, simulation, laboratory, and clinical instruction for undergraduate and graduate nursing students at UT Tyler School of Nursing. The Physician Assistant & Clinical Faculty will serve as a mentor and role model, fostering student learning, professional development, and clinical competency. Responsibilities include evaluating student performance, participating in curriculum development, accreditation activities, and other School of Nursing initiatives. The position also requires collaboration with faculty, healthcare professionals, and community partners to support the School of Nursing's mission. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a clinical practice at Family Circle of Care Chapel Hill to support student learning and provide direct patient care.

Requirements

  • Physician Assistant and Clinical Faculty role requires a Master's degree.
  • Must have a current Texas PA license or be eligible for one.
  • Must have current NCCPA certification or be eligible for certification.
  • Must have current DEA license or be eligible for one.
  • Must have current Texas Controlled Substance license or be eligible for one.
  • Must have 3 years of experience as a Physician Assistant.
  • Must have 1 year of experience in an academic setting.
  • Must have 1 year of experience in Family Practice or Primary Care.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in simulation and laboratory instruction.
