About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is seeking skilled Per-Diem Physician Assistants to support both the Cardiothoracic Operating Room and the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU). This role offers the opportunity to be part of a highly autonomous and respected PA team, caring for post-operative and critically ill cardiothoracic patients. CTICU PAs manage a wide range of complex clinical situations, including ECMO, mechanical ventilation, vasopressor support, and advanced cardiac monitoring. The hospital is a nationally recognized leader in cardiovascular care, with cardiothoracic surgeons affiliated with Weill Cornell Medicine, who are experts in procedures such as CABG, valve repair and replacement (including TAVR), aneurysm repair, arrhythmia ablation, and ECMO.

Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Current New York State PA licensure.
Current NCCPA certification.
Current ACLS and BLS certification.
NYS Infection Control certification.
DEA Certification and compliance with NYS Opioid Prescriber training requirements.
Must live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in CTICU and/or Cardiothoracic Surgery Operating Room settings.

Responsibilities
