About The Position
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Pain Management Center. This role involves assisting pain management physicians in a clinical setting, treating patients suffering from pain. The position requires availability between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Kelsey-Seybold is a large, multi-specialty clinic system in Houston, recognized for coordinated and accountable care.
Requirements
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Current Licensure through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners OR Licensed Physician Assistant by the Texas State Medical Board
- Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation

Responsibilities
- Assisting the pain management physicians in clinic to achieve optimal efficiency in the practice of pain management
- Holding clinic and seeing patients for follow up visits, assisting these patients with the medical management of their disease
- Managing narcotics, narcotic agreements, opiate management administrative work and pre and post-operative procedural care
- Working with primary care practitioners and other specialties with the management of patients who suffer from pain, providing a team approach that facilitates and enhances the quality of care for such patients
