About The Position
This is a Locum Tenens position for an Anesthesiologist at a 135-bed hospital in Lewisburg, PA. The role involves clinical duties and on-call responsibilities, covering a variety of surgical specialties. The assignment is for a 13-week period, starting August 17, 2026, with potential for ongoing coverage. The hospital utilizes the Epic EMR system and has CRNAs available with a 1:3 CRNA-to-room ratio. This coverage is needed to supplement existing staff, with 3-4 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs) required monthly.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Medical License Required
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
- ACLS and PALS Required
- Must be comfortable taking occasional weekday night call (3:00 PM – 7:00 AM).
- Must be proficient in regional (nerve block) anesthesia for a high volume orthopedic service.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties in a hospital setting.
- Administer general, regional, spinal, and monitored anesthesia care.
- Perform regional nerve blocks using ultrasound-guided techniques.
- Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs while maintaining a 1:3 supervision ratio.
- Participate in scheduled day shifts, 16-hour call coverage, and occasional weekday night call as needed.
