About The Position

Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants is seeking a skilled and passionate Advanced Imaging Cardiologist to join their esteemed team in Springfield, Illinois. As a nationally recognized leader in Cardiac care, this role offers an opportunity for a dedicated physician to provide cutting-edge care to patients with complex cardiac conditions while collaborating with a team of top-tier cardiologists and surgeons. The position involves working alongside experts in general, interventional, and structural cardiology, plus electrophysiology, within a supportive, team-based care model utilizing EPIC EMR for streamlined documentation. The role is within a high-volume imaging center with extensive procedures and a very active clinical research program, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted Illinois medical license and DEA (prior to start).
  • BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease.
  • Competence in delivery of healthcare services for adolescents, adults and geriatric patients is required.
  • Licensed physician in the state of practice is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
  • Maintain a Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA, when applicable to their specialty.
  • Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program.
  • Must be board certified or board eligible.
  • Clinical doctorate is required.
