About The Position

Baptist Medical Group is seeking a BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiologist to join their 1000+ physician medical group. This is an employed opportunity with Baptist Medical Group, a multispecialty physician practice and part of a not-for-profit system. The role offers a unique opportunity to practice the full spectrum of advanced heart failure medicine within one of the nation's premier advanced heart failure programs at the Baptist Heart Institute, located at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis. This institute is the Mid-South’s only adult heart transplant program. The program has a strong history, having performed over 500 heart transplants and implanted over 600 LVADs since its inception in 1985. The position is 100% focused on advanced heart failure care and includes comprehensive team support, including Heart Failure Coordinators, Transplant/VAD Coordinators, Social Workers, and Advanced Practice Providers. The role also offers opportunities for program growth, research, and innovation, with leadership scope aligned with the candidate's experience. As a not-for-profit system, BMHCC qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).

Responsibilities

  • Practice the full spectrum of advanced heart failure medicine.
  • Provide dedicated focus on heart failure care.
  • Work with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

  • Engage in the established Cardiogenic Shock program with opportunities for continued growth and program development.
  • Contribute to the formal multidisciplinary Pulmonary Hypertension program.
