(Full-time) Physical Therapy Technician - Okemos Clinic
About The Position
Peak Performance Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Technician for their Okemos Clinic. This role offers valuable clinical experience, allowing individuals to work directly alongside licensed Physical Therapists in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Technicians will develop hands-on experience with therapeutic exercise, patient care, and clinic operations, building a strong foundation for future careers in various healthcare professions. The position involves helping patients stay motivated, creating a positive experience, and supporting efficient clinic operations within a collaborative team environment. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week), including opening and closing shifts Monday through Friday.
Nice To Haves
- Background in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Sports Medicine, or Personal Training is preferred but not required.
- Previous healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
- CPR knowledge preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready for patient care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming clinic environment.
- Support front office operations, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate patient information as needed.
- Observe patient progress and communicate concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Help create an exceptional patient experience while supporting efficient clinic operations.
- Follow all company policies, HIPAA requirements, and safety standards.
