About The Position

Team Rehab is a therapist-owned network of outpatient clinics across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Georgia. The Physical Therapy Technician supports patients and therapists in a clinical setting by preparing patients for therapy, assisting with non-clinical tasks, guiding patients through light exercises, and helping maintain safe, clean treatment areas. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience or education is required. The role may suit someone pursuing a career in physical therapy or another healthcare field. Team Rehab offers mentorship and an opportunity to apply for one of four annual scholarships for staff beginning PT or PTA education.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for therapy sessions.
• Assist therapists with non-clinical tasks and patient support.
• Guide patients through light exercises and strengthening techniques.
• Educate patients on safe and correct use of equipment.
• Apply therapeutic modalities, including heat/ice packs and electrical stimulation, as directed.
• Help patients walk safely between areas of the clinic.
• Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
• Communicate with patients, therapists, and other staff to ensure smooth care.
• Observe and report patient progress or concerns to the Physical Therapist.
