About The Position

Sentara Therapy Center Independence is hiring a Physical Therapy Specialist for outpatient care in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The preferred specialty areas include vestibular therapy, dry needling, McKenzie, orthopedics, and manual therapy. The specialist assesses, plans, organizes, and participates in rehabilitative programs to improve functional mobility, relieve pain, and improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. The role provides age-appropriate education to clients and caregivers and supervises and assumes responsibility for care provided by identified team members.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in physical therapy or higher.
Virginia physical therapy license.
BLS certification.
At least 2 years of experience as a physical therapist.
Maintain a minimum of 100 continuing education contact hours in an approved specialty.

Nice To Haves

Preferred specialty experience in vestibular therapy, dry needling, McKenzie, orthopedics, or manual therapy.
