About The Position

The Department of Physical Therapy in the School of Health at Rehabilitation Sciences at the MGH Institute of Health Professions invites applications for a 12-month, 1.0 FTE Instructor/Assistant Professor Faculty position with primary responsibilities in clinical education. This role involves designing and managing clinical education courses, developing students as clinicians, and fostering the growth of clinical education faculty as teachers, mentors, and practitioners. As a faculty member, responsibilities also include advising, scholarship, and service. The position includes clinical teaching at the Marjorie K. Ionta Physical Therapy Center for Clinical Education and Health Promotion, a pro bono center providing services to community members who may lack access to physical therapy care or have exhausted insurance benefits.

Requirements

  • Clinical doctorate (DPT degree)
  • Current physical therapy licensure in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of three years of full-time (or equivalent) post-licensure clinical practice
  • Prior clinical and/or academic teaching experience
