About The Position

Westminster Suncoast, a beautiful retirement community in South St. Petersburg, is recruiting for an ON CALL PTA for our Out-Patient department. The role involves direct supervision from the Out-Patient Therapy Director or Therapist for each patient/resident assigned, depending on the nature of skilled tasks and the complexity of the patient's condition. Clinical supervision may also be received from Therapists. Some travel between communities is required.

Requirements

• AA Degree from an APTA accredited program.
• Licensure where required by law.

Nice To Haves

• Two (2) years experience in a health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for carrying out Care Plan as designed by the Physical Therapist (PT).
• Assist the PT during evaluations.
• Monitor resident’s progress and communicate with PT.
• Maintain documentation in system of resident’s activities, record progress and document billing activities.
• Perform Resident’s Home Assessment as part of the discharge process as directed by the PT.
• Perform Resident’s screening during the admission process and quarterly & annual screening to determine the need for therapy as directed by the PT.
