About The Position

Powerback is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation services in an in-facility setting. Reporting to the Director of Rehab, the role implements physical therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments. The assistant works to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities, adapting care to each patient’s needs and treating patients as individuals. The role involves collaborating with peers and making referrals when needed, while helping patients and their families receive high-quality, compassionate care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Implement physical therapy programs and activities.
• Follow developed recovery plans.
• Deliver therapy treatments to patients.
• Address each patient as an individual and work to restore, reinforce, and enhance their physical abilities.
• Adapt to patients’ needs and the variety of work and settings.
• Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get needed care.
• Provide patients and their families with high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
