About The Position

PruittHealth is hiring a licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide therapy services in a skilled nursing setting at PruittHealth - Peake in Macon, Georgia. The role assists with carrying out physical therapy care plans and treatments prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician, in accordance with applicable State Practice Acts. The position may be full-time, part-time, or PRN. Compensation is offered up to $100,000 annually, based on experience, schedule, and location; a Stay & Earn sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for full-time hires. Requirements

Hold a valid professional license in the state of practice.
Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited school. For foreign-trained applicants, the program must be deemed substantially equivalent to U.S. entry-level physical therapist education by a credential evaluation organization approved by the APTA.

Responsibilities

Assist in executing physical therapy care plans and treatments prescribed by the evaluating therapist and physician, according to State Practice Acts.
Perform clinical tasks, communication, and documentation accurately and on time, in accordance with policy.
Follow established policies and procedures related to the scope of practice.
Recognize and respond to priorities in patient care.
Complete required orientation, in-services, and training on time and successfully.
Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by the supervisor.
