Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides physical therapy services to patients needing to develop, recover, and maintain physical mobility/function. This role involves implementing treatment plans, monitoring patient responses, communicating progress to the supervising therapist, documenting services, educating patients and families, and assisting with discharge planning, including providing information on adaptive equipment and community support programs.
