Canyon Vista Medical Center was founded in 1963 as Western Baptist Osteopathic Hospital on what was then the eastern edge of Sierra Vista. Requirements

• Associate’s degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current PTA license in state of practice.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides therapeutic interventions under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to support patients across acute hospital, acute rehabilitation, inpatient, medical‑surgical, and outpatient settings.
• Assists in restoring function, improving mobility, and promoting independence by implementing treatment plans, guiding mobility and exercise activities, and monitoring patient response to therapy.
• Ensures accurate and timely documentation.
• Maintains a safe and organized treatment environment.
• Collaborates effectively with the interdisciplinary team to support high‑quality, patient‑centered care.
• Communicates progress to the supervising PT.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
