About The Position

Freedom Pointe at the Villages is hiring a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitation services to older adults. The role supports residents in regaining function, independence, and quality of life through individualized therapy and compassionate, patient-centered care. The position offers a flexible schedule and requires no travel. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered; program details are available from Human Resources.

The assistant works with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team, communicates patient progress and goals, and completes documentation accurately and promptly to support billing and payroll requirements. Requirements

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) therapy experience.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Background screening through AHCA.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment, program planning, and implementation.
• Communicate patient progress, needs, and goals with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Complete documentation accurately and promptly to support billing and payroll requirements.
• Support residents in regaining function, independence, and quality of life.
• Maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance and contribute to a respectful, hospitable workplace.
