About The Position
Vertis Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team at a beautiful assisted living facility in Plant City, Florida. In this role, you will provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, helping residents improve their independence, safety, and functional mobility.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.
- Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license or license eligibility.
- Proficient in implementing effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to lift and assist clients as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to therapy.
- Computer proficiency to document in electronic medical record platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a Physical Therapist to help residents improve safety, functional mobility, strength, and independence.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation.
- Communicate with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team regarding resident progress, response to treatment, and any changes in functional status or needs.
- Participate or lead team development meetings.
- Regularly lead community wide wellness programs and events.
