About The Position
Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN position at Rutherford Regional Health System - Outpatient. As a PTA, you will implement treatment plans developed by a supervising therapist, monitor patient responses, communicate progress, educate patients and families, and assist with discharge planning. This role is crucial in helping to make communities healthier by providing exceptional care.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree
- Graduate of a Program in Discipline
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of North Carolina
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plan developed by supervising therapist using appropriate modalities.
- Seeks consultation as necessary.
- Monitors patient's responses to the treatment plan.
- Regularly communicates patient progress and possible goal revisions to the physical therapist.
- Documents services provided and patient response/progress.
- Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
- Assists with patient discharge planning.
- Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and community support programs.
