About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for their Acute Rehab facility at Valley View Medical Center. This role is crucial in restoring patient functions and improving mobility under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The position emphasizes a commitment to patient well-being and making communities healthier.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA program culminating in an associate degree.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant/PTA or equivalent in the state where services are rendered.
• CPR certification (when required).

• Rehab or acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting in restoring functions and improving mobility.
• Administer physical therapy interventions as directed by the supervising PT.
• Assist in patient mobility and exercise routines.
• Monitor patient responses and report progress to PT.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for treatment.
