About The Position

The physical therapy assistant is required to work under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist of record who is responsible for the actions of the physical therapy assistant. This role involves providing client care services delegated by the physical therapist, preparing clinical and progress notes, and participating in educating the client and family. The position requires compliance with universal precautions, infection control, and safety procedures.

Requirements

Graduate of a physical therapist assistant associate degree program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association.
PTA certification required.
Possess current Michigan motor vehicle license.
Ability to drive a car.
Insured vehicle capable of transport to patient homes or other offices under various weather conditions.
Employees must be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
Employees must receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.
