As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will help patients rebuild or maintain their physical wellbeing so they can function at their best level, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. This involves performing initial evaluations, developing and updating individualized plans of care, and providing a variety of direct treatments.

Requirements

• Bachelors Other, upon hire
• Physical Therapy Assistant: AR, upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

• Three-month internship, which is part of Physical Therapy Assisting School program

Responsibilities

• Perform initial evaluations
• Develop and update individualized plans of care
• Provide a variety of direct treatments
• Consistently meet patient care productivity standards
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and families
• Promote a positive customer service environment
• Check patient conditions and provide therapy based on the Physical Therapist’s plan and doctor orders
• Write clear daily notes, update recovery scores, and complete discharge summaries on time
• Work closely with families and the medical team to keep everyone updated on the patient’s goals
• Educate patients on their recovery
• Help train students or new staff members
• Lead by example
• Manage equipment efficiently
• Help maintain a positive team environment
