About The Position

Bradenton Rehabilitation Hospital is hiring a PRN Physical Therapy Assistant. The hospital opened in May 2026 and features 60 private patient rooms and two rehabilitation therapy gyms with cutting-edge technology.

The Physical Therapy Assistant treats referred patients ages 18 through geriatric who have rehabilitation diagnoses or conditions. The role assists in assessing patients’ medical conditions, functional capabilities, limitations, restrictions, and rehabilitation potential. Under the direction of a physician and physical therapist, the assistant administers treatment programs with goals tailored to patients’ capacity and tolerance and educates patients and families about appropriate physical therapy methods.

Pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross; online certification is not acceptable.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to meet strict time frames.

Nice To Haves

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience.
