About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals recovering from injuries or illnesses. PTA role performs visits in homes, ALF's, and ILF's. This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus. This is a full-time, salary-based position. There are two schedules available: Monday-Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM) and one weekend a month Monday-Sunday (7:00AM-7:00PM) 7days on, 7 days off We are seeking PTA's to service the following areas: Marietta

Requirements

Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
CPR certification
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation
Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities

Nice To Haves

Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest
Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant
Specialized training or certification in specific areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, pelvic heatlh, neurology, or geriatrics
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Bilingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by patients in the practice area

Responsibilities

Assisting in the implementation of treatment plans
Conducting exercises with patients
Educating patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises
Documenting patient progress
Developing individualized treatment plans
Instruct and assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities
Monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed
Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring that equipment is properly sanitized and maintained
Communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as needed
Assist in the implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services
