About The Position

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Primary Care Physical Therapy Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a valuable member of our healthcare staff, you will play a crucial role in assisting our licensed physical therapists in delivering exceptional care to our homebound patients. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals recovering from injuries or illnesses. PTA role performs visits in homes, ALF's, and ILF's. This is a salary-based position, with the opportunity to receive a monthly bonus. This is a full-time, salary-based position. There are two schedules available: Monday-Friday (8:00AM-5:00PM) and one weekend a month Monday-Sunday (7:00AM-7:00PM) 7days on, 7 days off We are seeking PTA's to service the following areas: Marietta

Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
  • Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice
  • CPR certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Compassion and empathy for patients undergoing rehabilitation
  • Physical stamina and dexterity necessary to assist patients with mobility and perform therapeutic activities

Nice To Haves

  • Pelvic Health Experience and/or interest
  • Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Specialized training or certification in specific areas of physical therapy, such as orthopedics, pelvic heatlh, neurology, or geriatrics
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and another language commonly spoken by patients in the practice area

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the implementation of treatment plans
  • Conducting exercises with patients
  • Educating patients on proper techniques for rehabilitation exercises
  • Documenting patient progress
  • Developing individualized treatment plans
  • Instruct and assist patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities
  • Monitor patients during therapy sessions, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring that equipment is properly sanitized and maintained
  • Communicate regularly with physical therapists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Assist in the implementation of discharge plans, including providing patients with instructions for continued care and recommending appropriate follow-up services
