About The Position
The Inpatient Physical Therapist Assistant provides acute care services to cardiac, orthopedic, neurologic, vascular, pulmonary, and medical-surgical patients as a vital member of a multidisciplinary team. The position includes providing physical therapy treatments, educating patients and family members, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to support individualized care and transition planning. Requirements
- New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license or registration.
- Completion of a two-year college program for physical therapist assistants. The program must be a New York State Registered Physical Therapist Assistant Program or a CAPTE/APTA-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- 1–2 years of inpatient experience preferred.
