About The Position

Sentara is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant in Woodbridge, Virginia. This is an Outpatient, Rehab Therapy facility. This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with great benefits. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will administer physical therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a physical therapist. May assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a physical therapist. Provides age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members. Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions by accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures. Participates/assists with updates in the formal plan of care to address individual patient needs. Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training. Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and families to improve patient outcomes. Productive and efficient in daily operations.

Requirements

  • Associate Level Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
