About The Position

The #1 Priority of this position is to provide physical therapy as prescribed by a physician, which can be safely provided in the facility and assisting the physician in evaluating patients by applying diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint and functional abilities test.

Requirements

  • Currently licensed in the State of Florida with at least one year of experience under the supervision of licensed physical therapist.
  • Must have an Associate degree in Physical Therapy or graduated from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Must possess good communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
  • Able to operate the necessary equipment.
  • Have supervision and management skills.
  • Must possess adequate ability to calculate necessary percentages for required documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical experience preferred.
  • Spanish preferred.
  • Responsible, energetic, punctual, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible as to work schedule.
  • Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies
  • Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
  • Exhibit an enthusiastic and friendly personality that has aptitude for working with a variety of people.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Physical Therapists in carrying out the selected program and procedures.
  • Perform routine treatment procedures in accordance with the planned program.
  • Responsible for record keeping procedures and charting, ensuring confidentiality of all records.
  • Communicate with patient’s physician and other healthcare professionals.
