The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist to assist in the planning, development, organization, evaluation, and directing of Physical therapy activities. This role involves facilitating Telehealth services, communicating with related departments, maintaining standards of practice, and ensuring compliance with facility policies. The PTA will interpret therapy procedures, participate in care conferences, and assist in instructing residents and families on home programs and adaptive equipment. Accurate documentation and timely billing are crucial. The position also involves assisting in interviewing residents to evaluate their abilities and limitations, targeting goals in the Plan of Care, and determining appropriate treatment plans. The PTA will also participate in staff development, safety and sanitation protocols, and manage necessary materials and equipment. Resident rights and HIPAA compliance are paramount. The role requires constant alertness for resident safety and participation in continuing education.
