This position is for a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) working on a per diem basis. The COTA will assist the Occupational Therapist in planning, developing, and directing occupational therapy activities. Key responsibilities include facilitating Telehealth services, communicating with other departments, maintaining therapy standards, and participating in resident assessments and discharge planning. The role also involves instructing residents and families, maintaining documentation, ensuring accurate billing, and performing administrative duties. The COTA will also be involved in interviewing residents to evaluate daily living skills, addressing Plan of Care goals, selecting appropriate treatments, and preparing necessary equipment. They will also participate in staff development, safety and sanitation protocols, and resident rights adherence.
