About The Position

Soundly Speaking is seeking passionate and committed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) dedicated to serving adult individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) within the major cities of Texas. As the #1 adult IDD therapy provider in Texas, Soundly Speaking works closely with dayhab staff and families to serve clients ages 21 and up. This is a W2 Part-Time position that has the potential to transition into a Full-Time role. Requirements

Ability to learn on the job and utilize provided materials.
Texas-issued Physical Therapy Assistant License.
Ability to perform therapy through teletherapy.
Adaptability and teamwork skills.
Comfort working with adults in their homes and/or outside of a clinic.
A valid license is obtained after completion of an Associate's degree in Physical Therapy and taking the accredited NPTE exam to obtain a valid Texas Physical Therapist Assistant License.

Responsibilities

Traveling to clients' homes and providing individually tailored therapy.
Documenting therapy visits.
Contacting families and case managers to share updates.
Adjusting therapy to ensure progress towards client goals.
Providing high-quality therapy in the client's home.
Communicating with families about therapy sessions.
Communicating weekly with families about goals and progress.
Communicating monthly with case managers.
Turning in paperwork within a 24-hour timeline.
Maintaining patient record confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA, State, and Federal Regulations.
