About The Position
Aegis Therapies is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their Outpatient rehab team at John Knox Village, a luxury Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). This role focuses on treating active, engaged seniors in a true outpatient setting, specializing in orthopedics, balance, mobility, strength, and fall prevention. The position emphasizes building long-term therapeutic relationships and practicing patient-centered, wellness-based care without high-pressure productivity standards. This is an ideal opportunity for therapists who enjoy outpatient care with a geriatric population that is highly motivated and invested in their health. The community offers a full continuum of care, but this position is dedicated solely to outpatient services.
Requirements
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Florida or ability to obtain prior to start
- Interest in outpatient physical therapy and geriatric-focused care
- Passion for helping older adults live active, independent lifestyles
