About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a part-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join their Ocean County Senior Living team. This role involves providing one-on-one therapy visits to adult and geriatric clients in senior living communities across Ocean County, NJ. The PTA will collaborate with a Physical Therapist to enhance clients' mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence, fostering meaningful relationships and promoting safety and independence in their homes.
Requirements
- Current New Jersey Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license.
- Graduate of a Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), OR meet applicable experience and proficiency requirements.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage time.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel to senior living communities throughout Ocean County.

- Home health or senior living experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Partner with an experienced and supportive Physical Therapist to provide individualized care.
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments and interventions as delegated by a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement individualized plans of care, including therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance training, mobility, and other interventions.
- Help clients improve or maintain strength, mobility, safety, and functional independence.
- Monitor client progress and communicate changes or concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Educate clients, family members, and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility techniques, safety strategies, and rehabilitative care.
- Collaborate with members of the interdisciplinary care team to support positive client outcomes.
- Accurately document treatments, observations, and client progress using BAYADA's electronic medical record (EMR) system.
