Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
Powerback is hiring a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered rehabilitation in an in-facility setting. The role implements physical therapy programs and activities, follows established recovery plans, and delivers therapy treatments to restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities. The assistant adapts care to individual patient needs, collaborates with peers, and makes referrals when patients need additional care. The position emphasizes providing patients and their families with high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere. The role reports to the Director of Rehab.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
- Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required by the state of practice.
Responsibilities
- Implement physical therapy programs and activities.
- Follow developed patient recovery plans.
- Deliver therapy treatments to help restore, reinforce, and enhance patients’ physical abilities.
- Adapt treatment to individual patient needs.
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to support patients’ care.
- Provide patients and their families with high-quality service in a caring and compassionate atmosphere.
