About The Position

Perform treatments and provide exercise instruction and demonstration for Amberwell patients receiving physical therapy as inpatients, outpatients, and Home Health/Hospice.

Requirements

  • High School or GED
  • 2 year/Associate Degree
  • BLS
  • Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
  • Kansas licensed Physical Therapy Assistant
  • Twenty CEUs every 2 years to maintain licensure
  • Valid driver's license and current proof of insurance for vehicle

  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions
  • Computer skills
  • Ability to serve Neonate/Infant (Birth-1 year), Child/ PED (1-11 years), Adolescent (12-17 years), Adult (18-64 years), and Geriatric (65+ years) patients
  • Ability to manage stress appropriately
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Ability to manage anger/fear/hostility/violence of others appropriately
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work alone
  • Medium work - Exert up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. constantly
  • Ability to stand for 1 hour per day
  • Ability to sit for 6-7 hours per day
  • Ability to walk for 1-2 hours per day
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks/motions
  • Ability to distinguish colors
  • Ability to hear alarms/telephone/tape recorder/normal speaking voice
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Good eye/hand/foot coordination
  • Clarity of vision: Mid (>20=-<20=)
