About The Position

BoulderCentre for Orthopedics and Spine, Hand and Physical Therapy is looking for physical therapist assistants to join our team. BCOS is expanding and is searching for a physical therapist assistant who is committed to customer service, quality care, exceptional patient outcomes, and has a desire to learn and grow as a professional. As a physical therapist assistant with BCOS, you will encounter a variety of operative and non-operative clients that require skilled hands-on care, a solid team approach, and creative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Understanding of Physical Therapy principles, standards, and practices.
  • Familiarity with exercises, modalities, and training techniques.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and limitations.
  • Strong oral and written communication.
  • Effective clinical problem-solving
  • Proficiency in administering various physical therapy treatments.
  • Ability to adapt exercises, plan, organize, and lead.
  • Competence in recording accurate treatment notes and communicating patient progress.
  • Skill in establishing effective relationships.
  • Active license as a PT Assistant in the State of Colorado.
  • Current CPR certifications
  • Graduate of an accredited PTA program

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing treatment plans, documenting treatment progress, and adjusting treatments within the scope of established plans by the Physical Therapist.
  • Instruct, motivate, and assist patients with modalities, rehabilitative activities, and exercises as prescribed.
  • Provide high-quality care tailored to patient pathology.
  • Utilize various treatments and techniques to restore, improve, and maintain functioning and alleviate pain or prevent physical dysfunction.
  • Collaborate with patients, medical practitioners, and other relevant parties to plan, implement, or assess intervention programs.
  • Manage active patients to ensure compliance with treatment plans.
  • Document patient care, history, treatments, and consultations in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
  • Observe and evaluate patient responses and progress during treatments and report findings to the Physical Therapist.
  • Fit patients for orthopedic braces and supportive devices, providing instructions on their proper use and care.
  • Measure patient range of motion, length, girth of body parts, and vital signs to assess treatment effects or compile data for evaluations.
