Requirements

  • Active California Physical Therapist Assistant License (or eligible to obtain)
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Passion for helping others achieve their rehabilitation goals

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in skilled nursing or post-acute care is a plus, but not required
  • Familiarity with PointClickCare, Net Health, or similar EMR systems is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Providing physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
  • Assisting residents in achieving functional goals and improved quality of life
  • Implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Monitoring resident progress and communicating updates to the therapy team
  • Educating residents and families on exercises, safety techniques, and functional mobility
  • Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
  • Collaborating with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional resident care
  • Bringing positive energy, compassion, and professionalism to every patient interaction
