Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)
About The Position
The Summit of Edgewood has a PRN opportunity for a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide rehabilitative care to senior residents in an on-site senior living community. The PTA assists with services for patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated care team and provides attentive, one-on-one therapy with functional treatments and a holistic, patient-centered approach. The role offers mentorship, hands-on experience with innovative technologies and therapeutic treatments, and opportunities to pursue clinical interests, develop subject matter expertise, and advance a career. Legacy Healthcare Services is a not-for-profit organization that provides personalized therapeutic care in senior living communities. It was founded by and continues to be led by therapists, and serves nearly 500 communities throughout the United States.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science degree in the area of discipline.
- Current license in the state of practice.
- Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
- Computer proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Assist with rehabilitative services for patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
- Provide one-on-one therapy services for residents.
- Administer functional treatments that emphasize a holistic, patient-centered approach to care.
