About The Position

The Physical Therapist Assistant’s (PTA) overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level. This role involves providing rehabilitation care within generally accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards. The PTA implements treatment plans as outlined by the supervising therapist, provides feedback on clinical and rehabilitation issues, and participates in resident screenings and center-directed processes. The role also includes managing treatment and non-treatment related activities, performing necessary clinical documentation, and maintaining accurate billing records. Participation in in-service training programs is also required. The position may involve limited travel to other facilities to provide services.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • Current and Active Physical Therapy Assistant license within the state of operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
  • Knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

  • Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Participates in in-service training programs as requested.
  • May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis.
