The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) at Paulding Care Community will work under the supervision of a Physical Therapist (PT) to provide comprehensive physical therapy services to residents. This per diem role involves assisting in the planning, development, and execution of therapy programs, ensuring timely documentation and billing, and collaborating with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals. The PTA will play a key role in improving residents' daily living skills and capacities through individualized treatment plans and adaptive equipment. Key responsibilities include facilitating Telehealth services, participating in care conferences and resident assessments, and educating residents and families on home programs. The position also involves administrative duties such as completing medical forms and maintaining departmental policies. The PTA will directly assist residents in therapy sessions, ensuring their comfort and safety, and will be responsible for documenting progress and communicating any necessary modifications to the PT. Staff development, adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, and upholding resident rights are also integral parts of this role.
