About The Position

Program Directors are responsible for leveraging their expertise to develop, maintain and deliver education services to students through: Creating and Maintaining core curriculum across the institution Communicating and monitoring delivery of core curriculum Preparing course plans and material Delivering courses Monitoring progress/attendance Advising students Recording grades and submitting reports

Requirements

  • Minimum of a master's degree
  • A minimum of five years (or equivalent), full-time, post-licensure experience that includes a minimum of three years (or equivalent) of full-time clinical experience within any United States jurisdiction
  • didactic and/or clinical teaching experience.
  • experience in administration, management, and leadership. Experiences derived from the clinic are acceptable.
  • Professional development or education in all of the following: educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation, and outcome assessment. This includes a minimum of 60 contact hours of professional development or education comprising exclusively and comprehensively the four content areas of: education theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation and outcome assessment.
  • Current, unrestricted State of Florida Physical Therapy Practitioner (PT or PTA) License

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CAPTE Standards and accreditation processes preferred.
